After the passing of one our great dog friends,
Merle , I offered to paint him and his mother,
Emma , as a memory for their human and our
friend and neighbor . I painted the pair at their
favorite vacation spot , a beach to roam at
Seagrove , Florida . Included in the painting are
special collars ,tags , and octopus chew toys .
Also included are the human couple with a pair
of empty leashes .
When unveiling the painting at a fundraising
event for the Great Dane Rescue , we used it to
have others bid on their own pet portrait .
After raising a little money , our rather
emotional friend placed the painting in her
home and had enjoyed it only a few days when
Emma , whose health had been failing , made
her way to the " Rainbow Bridge " .
